At Speedy Plastics and Resins we supply many different ranges of building, and DIY products, that can be used for a variety of purposes. Whether you are a professional in the trade, or just a keen do it yourselfer, these materials are essential for many different tasks.
Below are a list of products that we provide, and their uses:-
UPVC Plastics–we sell a variety of plastic products in different color ranges such as fascias, gutters, soffits and many more.
- Fascias – are the long straight board that runs along the lower edge of the roof. The fascia is fixed directly to the roof trusses and usually does all the work of supporting the bottom row of tiles, and carrying all the guttering.
- Gutters - a narrow trough, or duct which collects rainwater from the roof of a building, and transports the water from the structure, typically into a down pipe.
- Soffits - most commonly used around a building’s main roof, but soffit can also be used under porches, or under a flight of stairs. The function of a soffit is to protect the rafters from weather elements. Soffits also help your building to breathe providing regular air circulation in the attic, and to add some instant, and easy character to your building.
Fiberglass Products – we sell a wide range of fiberglass products such as resins, top coats, fiberglass matting, catalyst, and many more.
- Resins - resin is used as a base coat when working on fiberglass roofs, or making molds. When resin is mixed with the catalyst, the resin will become solid ,and therefore produce a water tight barrier.
- Fiberglass Matting–is used in conjunction with resin to form shapes and structure, but is also a necessity to make a roof watertight.
- Top Coat – is used as a finishing coat on a fiberglass roof. When mixed with catalyst it will become hard, and produce a final barrier, which will give added water protection to your roof.
- Catalyst – is mixed with resins, and top coats, to activate the chemicals within each product, to ensure they cure, or ‘go off’.
